This excellent example of an Italianate-style house with Greek Revival gablets was one of the best-preserved examples of this style in the area. Situated at the corner of Clinton and Everett Avenues, it was built by Cornelius Vreeland in the 1870s. This was the home of Dr. Sherman Foote, the town health officer in 1933. The house was also occupied by for Warner Brothers executive Ralph Budd. The home was most recently a clothing store before it was torn down in 2004. This photo was taken in 1964.
