This old postcard shows the island called Station Plaza, which used to grace the front of the railroad station. It was used in World War II to collect scrap metal to help the war effort. Residents donated more than a half a ton of aluminum, mostly in the form of pots and pans, to help the aircraft industry.

The train station, now the Wyckoff Economy Shop, is just to the left. Miller’s Pharmacy is on the right.
