The Seitz family bought a one-acre plot in 1911 from William Mastenbrook at the corner of Franklin Avenue and Main Street and built a hotel. On the first floor, there was a living room, kitchen and barroom. The liquor license was transferred from the Ramsey Hotel which burned down in 1909, at Russell and Wyckoff Avenues. The Seitz family ran the hotel until 1928. The building went through several owners, including Edward Vreeland, who took off the porch and added a bowling alley. The building was razed in 1955.
